So here is the back story. A few weeks ago I got a call from the Junior High Principal. Hello..you know that ain't good(yes I said ain't). So the principal informs me he has Drama in his office and has confiscated Drama's binder. It appears Drama was letting his friends draw penises all over his binder. WTH? So I heard this song & in the lyrics it says "in the bathroom stall, spray paint, penis on the wall" and it made me think of my lovely tween. Funny. Just so you know Drama was punish appropriately & I didn't laugh about this in front of him, but come on it's such a kid thing and funny to us. and it totally made me think of Super Bad where the kid draws like tons of penises and hides them in his lunch box.
This song is dedicated to Drama:

BIZARRE RECORDS
Check out this website called Bizarre Records it's weird vinyl records. Freaky.
So I pulled two weird ones below, and just because I'm weird I wanted to find out about the bands and see what the weird deal was about them. Anyway check out the pics and the band info below, and check out Bizarre Records for more.
STRYKEN
Stryken was a christian band from the great Austin Texas. Looks like they were only a band from 1986 to 1988. (They have been called clones of the band Stryper which was another heavy metal christian band from California.) In 1987 the band disrupted a Montley Crue concert and preached to the crowd wearing full body armour and carrying a cross before being arrested.
DUKE JUPITER
A rock and roll band from Rochester, New York during from 1973 to 1986. Song lyrics to one of their songs 'I'll Drink to You':
"I`ve seen the river and I`ve seen the road
Never looked back but I`ve always known
Someday I`ll see you again - I`ll Drink To You
I`ll Drink To You!"

FAMILY FUN
A few Family Fun in the latest magazine I found. All Natural Play Clay & Let's Find Letter Treasures.
All Natural Play Clay
If the kiddos eat it, it will probably taste icky, but it won't hurt them at least.
Ingredients:
1 cup of flour
3/8 cup salt
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
**Natural dye
**Dye colors
Brown-3/8 cups plus 1 tablespoon hot water & 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
Pink-3/8 cups hot beet juice
Orange-3/8 cup hot water and 1 tablespoon paprika
Yellow-3/8 cup hot water and 1 tablespoon turmeric
In bowl combine flour and salt. Pour in oil and your chosen natural dye, and stir well. Knead the dough on a floured surface for a few minutes. If the clay is too soft, add a bit more flour. Store the clay in air tight containers in the fridge.
Let's Find Letter Treasure!
A good outdoor thing to do with the family for Autumn, and hopefully fun for all ages. Finding letters in your natural surroundings.
One of the ideas that may be fun for smaller kids is to make a photo alphabet book. The other one that I like was this:
making your a frame name out of the letters you found and framing your child's name. Super cool, and they will be excited about it cause they made it.

MIRANDA JULY
This is just super creative so I had to share. Miranda July remade herself into extras in some famous films. I think what is so unique is most people strive to be the star or make their self over to be the star and here she is the extra, in the background that no one would notice except in a still picture. I just think this is the coolest. Check out below and check out the rest

Like Rock Star trashed out torn fishnets, cut off short shorts or maybe a school girl skirt , bowling looking shirt, smudged black eye liner, bright blue eye shadow, caked on mascara, old school skates (if I can find them). AUTUMN
Happy Autumn. I do so miss Autumn in MO. October in MO is my favorite month of the year and not because it's my birthday month and Halloween(my fav) but because it's such a cozy month. Cooler days perfect for walking. Cooler nights perfect for a fire pit with some marshmallows. Hay rides. Corn stalks and/or corn maze. Pumpkins. A great excuse to wear the color I look best in...brown. A great excuse to wear orange. The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. Football games. Sweat shirts and shorts. This is totally making me home sick. What did I miss I know there is more???
The Lone Star is cooler and rainy but it's not Autumn in MO that comes here like after the New Year...it's weird (to me anyway). I miss all the things above and of course miss my Peeps/Sisters/Family. I love you all and Happy Autumn!

I WANT TO BE CRAFTY
I've had a really hard time find time to get all crafty lately. My creative side is starved for energy. I've some cool crafts I really want to make. Me share.
I want to do some new pillows. My thought is to snag some cheap-o pillows at Target (Tar-ge)and do some fabric paint with random words on it (of course in the colors green, brown, beige, etc. that match my living room).
I want to do something like this but not for flour or foods or anything but to put those little candles in. i think that would be so pretty on a wall of like 3 or 4.
Ole Einstein you rock. I'm not sure what the person who did this craft put it on, but I want to put ole Einstein on a pillow. Maybe do like a Andy Warhol of Einstein pillows where he is in different colors with different color pillow. DAMN I told you I'm creatively starved. I need to get on this!
I thought this was the coolest project ever. These flowers are made from pistachio shells. Isn't that awesome and then spray painted different colors. I think these were made to be broches, but i think it would be a cool center piece on a table to have a bunch of these in different colors that go with the room, and maybe a broch too. :)
In keeping with the theme of all the bad ass mosquitoes invading The Lone Star at this time. I found this cute little mosquito guy. i think he was done on a onesis, but since my kiddos don't wear onesis anymore think I could do it on a little t-shirt. Isn't it the cutest little evil thing ever?
And in getting in the "will come too soon" holiday spirit I found this cute little Christmas trees. They are adorable and look pretty simple. Not sure what I am going to put them on. Maybe just some homemade ornaments or something, but these are cute.
These are really cool made from nature picture holders. They would look so awesome on a mantle or a shelf. I love them and the naturalness of them. Just a little 'picking up sticks" and cutting them down and viola` awesomeness picture holders
There is so much more i have found lately that I really really really want to do. It's finding the time that's the hard part. But these are a few. If I ever get around to these lovely little projects I will for sure post the finished projects. and I'll try to post some more "want tos" as I find them.

JANE EYRE CAN WHIP IT
So I am so very totally stoked about the new movie called Whip It coming out. Not only does it have the darling and quirky and wonderful actress Ellen Page (hello Juno) in it, it also has a another gal I love (the Crazy & Fabulous) Juliette Lewis. And it has Drew Barrymore and directed by Drew too, awesomeness. I can’t wait to see the quirkiness and the bad ass-ness in this cute and funny movie. Hey if I love it that much, guess what? H-Town has a Roller Derby Team! Hell yea to the bell yea! And they have try-outs even if I didn’t make it can you imagine how awesome & brutal & fun to document trying out would be. Might have a new project to train for over the winter.
Can you see my kids telling their friends that their mom is a Roller Derby Bad-Ass…..yea me neither….but it could happen……most likely not….but I could go try out and get the snot beat out of me and blog all about it. HELLO FUN FUN IN THE ROLLER DERBY!
I am so very excited to see this movie though. I know I still have to wait 3 more weeks…..so what am I doing in the mean time?
HELLO…..reading the book!!!!!
Yea that’s right. I order it and I should get it by Thursday and I’m going to savor that bad boy until the movie comes out. I’ve read the first few pages and the main character named “Bliss” seems the perfect character for Ellen Page to play (i.e. Juno-esk).
But as I read on about Ellen Page I was so excited that she is going to play Jane Eyre. OMG OMG OMFG! I have been reading Jane Eyre off and on for like a year and a half. I took a quiz on what famous character are you and I got Jane Eyre. One of my favorite actress Ellen Page is going to play Jane Eyre. Who is going to see Jane Eyre? Uhm, ME. Guess I better finally finish that book and maybe start it over and read it again. I think I have time before the movie come out.
I can’t wait to see what other character Ellen Page will take on in her future. She is lovely and cool.
