MEAL PLAN MONDAY

EASY PLEASING MEATLOAF
2 lb. lean ground beef

1 pkg.  (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken
1 cup water
2   eggs, beaten
1/2 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce, divided
HEAT oven to 375°F.
PLACE meat, stuffing mix, water, eggs and 1/4 cup barbecue sauce in bowl.
MIX just until blended.
SHAPE into loaf in 13x9-inch baking dish.
TOP with remaining barbecue sauce. Bake 1 hour or until done (160ºF).

Easy, pleasing, & cheap.  My kiddos and guests for dinner loved it.
No left overs here, but if there were it would be a good sandwich
for lunch the next day. The one tweak I did do with this recipe is
I put 1/2 cup BBQ sauce in the meatloaf mix and used probably
about half a cup.....or maybe more :) on the top. YUM!

CRAFT-SPIRATION - ROPE AND NUTS

I totally want to make this.
I have so many "want to" crafts to get around to these days.
This one is super simple, super cheap, and super cute.  Might even try it with colored rope and silver nuts.  Think that would be cute.I'm more of a silver girl and dark blue or dark green rope.
Will post as soon as I do it.  I just had to share this before I lost the link.

Link with more pictures and instructions at BECAUSE I'M ADDICTED.

QUOTE ME

Love yourself and be awake:
Today, tomorrow, always.

First establish yourself in the way,
Then teach others,
And so defeat sorrow.

To straighten the crooked
You must first do a harder thing:
Straighten yourself.

You are your only master.
Who else?
Subdue yourself,
And discover your master.

CALIFORNIA DREAMIN'

A year ago I was visiting my sister for the second time in LA. Oh how I fell in love with this eccentric city that have inspired hundreds of songs about it from lovers & haters. I become a lover. A lover of the weather.  A lover of the people.  A lover of the weird, the beautiful, the unique, the dirt, the history, the music.

With winter almost coming to an end here and cabin fever is running strong to say the least. I've been day dreamin about a trip back to see more. There is always more to see no matter how many times you go back.

Working on planning a trip again with The Sisters of the Perpetual Saturday:

hopefully in August. I'm so excited I can't stand it.

CRAFT-SPIRATION - AND LIFE

So one night this past week I had a little hiccup in my sleep pattern.  Truth....I couldn't sleep.  Too much going on up in the old noggin.  I hadn't broke out my sewing machine since I had moved back to Missouri.  Wasn't sure if I could even remember how to get it set up.  Thankfully my instruction book is dumbed down. And I did end up remembering some.  So I set that baby up.
I have all this material that I have been going to do projects with, but just haven't gotten to it.  With my brain running wild about life and how short it is and how you may not really know what is going on in some old friend's life but you just assume they are out there living the dream and then you turn around one day and find out they have been battling some tough life situations with tumors and brain surgeries and in the end have lost a battle with brain cancer at the way too young age of 32 and leaving behind a young beautiful daughter. It just broke my heart to hear this news and I couldn't get it out of my head or let it go.
I tend to do this.  When my brain can't let something go and it just swirls and swirls around in my head I find comfort in either hardcore deep cleaning or a really focused craft project.  It relaxes me and my brain can sort out all the emotions I got running all around me.  Some people drink.  Some people exercise.  I clean or craft. So my brain not settling down I started cutting up material and just letting my brain run wild why I sewed, sewed, sewed.
Two hours later I ended up with this imperfect.......or Far From Perfect but super cute pillow.
Exhausted I left my mess all over the table and feeling like I had done something creative for that day.  I let my head hit the pillow, said a little prayer, and fell asleep.

Peace, Love, Hugs

TAYLOR TOMASI I LOVE YOUR STYLE...

HOME-SPIRATION SATURDAY

I just love this photo.  For one I adore bookshelves.  Two I love the photos randomly placed on the wall and floor. And three I love this little what I would use as a reading nook.

This is where I want to bathe and read.

Round coffee table. Cute and kid friendly.

I am in love with this old red piece of furniture.  Great piece. Groovy color.  Good storage.  I like it set behind  the couch also.

I really need/want to get new bedding in the spring so I have been surfing around checking out bedding.  I found a few beddings for my home-spiration and will  probably be posting a lot of bedroom pics until I figure out what I want and redo it.

Of course I would love to have this be my bedroom.  Who wouldn't want to sleep outside every night with a view of the city and the stars?  If it weren't for unpredictable weather and bugs this is where I would sleep every night.

I am crazy about teal in the bedroom.  I love it.  It is inviting and romantic and cozy.  I just want to crawl in this bed and sleep and read and drink coffee.

This is more like a teen room, but I love the map on the wall.  I wouldn't do this in my room.  I have my room decorated in photography of bands I love.  I still have a few more bands I want/need to add, but I really love the rock-n-roll theme I got going on.

I like orange in the bedroom too.  Maybe.

I'm not a fan of white bedding, but I love the color pops in this bedroom.
