QUOTE ME

If you learn only one thing in this lifetime, let it be this: You are responsible for your own happiness.

— Bartholomew, I Come As A Brother

QUOTE ME

“The Gods envy us.
They envy us because we’re mortal, because any moment might be our last.
Everything is more beautiful because we’re doomed.
You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again.”

— Homer’s Illiad

DEFINE IT

QUOTE ME

"A human being is part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. We experience ourselves, our thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest. A kind of optical delusion of consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from the prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty… The true value of a human being is determined primarily by the measure and the sense in which they have obtained liberation from the self. … We shall require a substantially new manner of thinking if humanity is to survive."

POETRY PARK

No sun will shine in my day today
The high yellow moon won’t come out to play
I said darkness has covered my light,
And has changed my day into night, yeah.

Where is the love to be found?
Won’t someone tell me?
Cause my life must be somewhere to be found
Instead of concrete jungle
Where the living is harder

What
Get the kids up and moving for the new year. Try Zumbatomic® class at Amore Dance for Free Sunday January 2nd at noon! This class is being taught by Jessica Witt, an international presenter & trainer for Zumba® fitness international featured in several zumba videos. What is Zumbatomic® ? Zumbatomic®is a dance-fitness program designed exclusively for kids. The program is designed for kids and pre-teens ages 4-12. A typical class can include this entire age group OR be broken down into two smaller groups. The groups are Zumbatomic® Lil Starz (ages 4-7) and Zumbatomic® Big Starz (ages 8-12). How is Zumbatomic® different than Zumba®? Zumbatomic® recognizes that kids learn differently than adults. Because of this, the Zumbatomic® formula breaks down steps for its younger audience. Unlike much of basic Zumba®, there is plenty of verbal talking to walk them through the "kid friendly" steps.  Challenging moves are simplified so that kids can "get it" and feel a sense of accomplishment. Smaller kids can also learn concepts such as left, right, circle, parallel lines etc. To keep in fun, Zumbatomic®  incorporates games so they want to keep coming back!

DREAD OBSESSION

For some reason I have an obsession with pictures of people with dreadlocks.
I want to watch someone get them done sometime.
I want to know how you take care of them.
How much heavier does it make your head feel?
 Do they smell?
Is it easier than dealing with your hair everyday?

I could probably find all these answers online, but I'd rather spend time looking at pictures of them than reading about them.

This site totally fulfills my obsession: Just Whisper...

QUOTE ME

This is what enlightenment is all about - a deep understanding that there is no problem. Then, with no problem to solve, what will you do? Immediately you start living. You will eat, you will sleep, you will love, you will work, you will have a chit-chat, you will sing, you will dance - what else is there to do?
