THRIFT STORE FINDS

I went thrifting back at the end of March.  I took picks of all my finds, but I guess somewhere along the way I forgot to post my finds. So here are my finds:
I love this dress.  Thought it was funky.  Have no idea where I am going to wear it, but I'll find something.

Close up of the material and pattern of dress.

Total hippie flowers.  Love.  It's super thin so keeps cool.

This blouse just reminds me of candy.  It's so light and cool and super girly.

Cute embroidered tank.

The white shirt I Already had, but this little pink number was my find.  I don't have a lot of pink and this would be cute over this shirt, or a tank, or swim suit.

Simple coral button down.  Light weight.

another super girly.  So light weight and cool also.

This is just a plain black with white polka dots blouse.  Thought it was simple and cool for work.  I may have to give it up though, my boobs don't fit it that well. :)

Adorable brown skirt.  I love the jagged bottom of it.  It has a super adorable flower pinned to the front too.  Cute with flats, sandlas, or even flip flops.

Two pairs of shorts.  nothing special just shorts.

Duh shoes.  Girl can't have too many.  New black and brown.  Great find.  I hardly ever find shoes in my size thrifting.

This is summer.  Could be worn as skirt or long blouse with leggings.

Close up.

LIFE WITHOUT REGRETS

So I started working on a to do list for the next year or a goal list for the next year.  It's call 35 Before 36.  It's a list of 35 things I want to do over the next year before I turn 36. I got this awesome idea from A Beautiful Mess, and I thought it is a great idea. I was very inspired and all Gung-Ho and let me tell you it is hard to come up with 35 things.  So far I have 19......

I have had a lot of changes in my life lately, but changes I feel are for the better.  I am very happy and feeling like the real me.  Hello me.....it's been awhile.  Yes....yes it has.  So I really wanted to work on this list to have some goals and some dreams and things to look forward to.  Just because I'm 35 doesn't mean I have lost my joy of dreaming and goal setting.  I gots a lot to do people.

While I don't want to go into great detail of my life changes lately it got me to thinking.  Would I do anything different?  Would I change anything?
The answer: NEVER.
I wouldn't change a thing.  Not one single thing. I would go through every pain, every ache, every loss, every abuse, every heart break, every single tear....again and again and again......for this:
and this:
If I had it do do every again I would do it exactly the same way. Why would I change anything when one little thing changed in my bizarre life might keep me from having these 2 wonderful, adorable, smart, funny, crazy boys.

And think of it this way.....if you did do it over again and didn't change anything you'd also get to have all the fun, dances, love, joys, & laughter again too.

SO.....now a new journey has begun......and of course their is going to be fun.  SO....I have started my 35 Before 36 List.  Some are simple, some are weird, some are cool.
Here are a few:

Go to Venice Beach again
Sell my photography
Take the boys on at least one adventure a week
Cook one new recipe a week (and blog about it)
Get a Turtle and name him John Lennon or Offbeat Pete
Meditate daily
Take the boys on a road trip vacation this summer
Get better at sewing
Create at least one thing a month (and blog about it)
Go thrifting once a month

Well that's a taste.  They are no rocket scientist goals, but DUH I'm not a rocket scientist. Some are one time things and some are continuing things.  But I'm excited about goals over the next year.....now I just got to come  up with 35 of them.

So do you have things you want to do before your next bday? Let's get on it.

TREASURES FOUND

Did a little thrift exploring and came across this guy.
Got him for .99.  Thought he was worth it, and something weird to add to the rest of my weird. Decided to try my luck at The Salvation Army Thrift Store and check out their treasures.

THRIFTING

Did a little thrifting this weekend.  I heart thrifting.  It is rather addicting.  Ended up finding a dark purple (one of the colors for Fall Fashion) long sleeve with the tags still on it.  SCORE!  And also found a light purple cardigan with tags still on. DOUBLE SCORE! Found a cute pair of slacks for work (oh yea if I only had a job to wear them to). Also found a denim (also another fall fashion must have) button down.  Kind of looks western is with the snap buttons.  Thought is was cute.
I'm hoping to hit up one thrift store a week.  Posting pictures of treasures found & treasures bought. I love posting thrifting photography, cause sometimes you find some.....odd stuff that you would never buy but Lord you MUST have a picture of that.
While we were out this weekend I came a across a vest that was covered in cats.  It was the ugliest thing you have ever seen, but it gave me a giggle.  My camera was messed up so I didn't get a picture of it sadly.  It was a h00t.  It reminding me of the time "The Sisters" and I went out and this guy came over to our table hitting on one of "The Sisters" he got into this rant about how we were all cats and how we were all going to come back as cats.  That entire weekend we all kept "meowing" and pretending to lick our paws.
This is the only photo I took this weekend of our thrifting.

TREASURES FOUND

My treasure found at the thrift store. It's going in my dining room as soon as I find a way to hang this crazy heavy thing.

A close up of the frame. My dining room when finally complete is going to be red, black, & gold. So this will go PERFECT.

And of course the ever loving thrift store wacky picture, cause you always see something wacky wondering around.

Introducing THE THRIFT STORE BARBIE ORGY:

I haven't been out thrifting in a awhile. I missed it. I love finding that one great thing that will go in my house.

I also found a couple pairs of random jeans to cut off and make into shorts for the long Texas summer. I love cutoffs and if I'm wearing cut offs I don't mind being thrown in a pool by my husband or sprayed with the water hose by my monster kiddos.
