CRAFT-SPIRATION - ROPE AND NUTS

I totally want to make this.

I have so many "want to" crafts to get around to these days.

This one is super simple, super cheap, and super cute.  Might even try it with colored rope and silver nuts.  Think that would be cute.I'm more of a silver girl and dark blue or dark green rope.

CRAFT-SPIRATION - AND LIFE

So one night this past week I had a little hiccup in my sleep pattern.  Truth....I couldn't sleep.  Too much going on up in the old noggin.  I hadn't broke out my sewing machine since I had moved back to Missouri.  Wasn't sure if I could even remember how to get it set up.  Thankfully my instruction book is dumbed down. And I did end up remembering some.  So I set that baby up.

I have all this material that I have been going to do projects with, but just haven't gotten to it.  With my brain running wild about life and how short it is and how you may not really know what is going on in some old friend's life but you just assume they are out there living the dream and then you turn around one day and find out they have been battling some tough life situations with tumors and brain surgeries and in the end have lost a battle with brain cancer at the way too young age of 32 and leaving behind a young beautiful daughter. It just broke my heart to hear this news and I couldn't get it out of my head or let it go.

I tend to do this.  When my brain can't let something go and it just swirls and swirls around in my head I find comfort in either hardcore deep cleaning or a really focused craft project.  It relaxes me and my brain can sort out all the emotions I got running all around me.  Some people drink.  Some people exercise.  I clean or craft. So my brain not settling down I started cutting up material and just letting my brain run wild why I sewed, sewed, sewed.

Two hours later I ended up with this imperfect.......or Far From Perfect but super cute pillow.

Exhausted I left my mess all over the table and feeling like I had done something creative for that day.  I let my head hit the pillow, said a little prayer, and fell asleep.

I'm wondering if you could do larger hooks and hang scarfs or these size hooks about with different wood shapes and make a necklace/jewelry holder. That would be cute.  Different shapes, colors, sizes of wood hanging on one wall with different jewelry hanging from them.  Cute.

Revamp a dull bag with "lazy girl studding"

This bag was done with colored studs, but I think doing one with metallic studs would look pretty cool to revamp for GIRLS NIGHT OUT.

So yesterday on Snow Day - Day 1 I posted this blog about Craft-spiration. So today on snow Day - Day 2 I decided to find an old t-shirt and JUST DO IT.

I will post a better picture later when I'm actually fixed up and have an outfit on and not still in my pajamas. :)

LET IT SNOW......FLAKE

Don't forget about the snow flakes this year.  I always forget about snow flakes then I came across this blog at Here's Looking At Me Kid so I went nuts on a snow flake making rant.

To school for cool wouldn't let me take his picture, but he joined in on the snow flake making.

RePeat was the official snow flake opener after we were done cutting them out.

This smile says...........I have a blister from cutting and no make up. :)

CRAFT SPACE OF MY OWN & UNFINISHED PROJECTS

So after 10 years my husband has grown more than tired of my "piles of junk" all over the house and in drawers and here and there and everywhere. So I finally created a little space of my own. I still need more organization and some little storage things for all my "junk" but this will do for the time being.

Some unfinished projects:

No I still haven't finished these letters to go up in my kitchen, but only one more letter to go. They will say E-A-T once I'm done. I've just been lazy.
After posting the streamer/flag craft-spiration I decided to make my own. This is as far as I've got so far. Think these will go into my kitchen also.
Just a random project I came up with with the alphabet. I have all the letters glued on the fabric but still need to glue the fabric or sew the fabric together and onto a board. This will look cool when it's done I think. I really like this project.

Sure I will start some more projects before I finish these above, especially now that I have a little space to spread out all my "piles of junk" and "junk."

Got lots of creative ideas swimming around in my head.

The latest crafting project in underway. Sort of stole this idea from the show Cougar Town. She has some fabric covered letters in her kitchen that say "EAT". So I snatched me up some letters & found some cute fabric & this will soon be up in my kitchen.
